The American Advertising Federation sponsors an annual competition called the ADDY Awards to recognize "the true spirit of creative excellence." The competition is structured in three tiers, with judging taking place at local, regional and national levels. For the first tier of judging hosted by the Advertising Club of Toledo, the Owner's Construction Manual – Bostleman's helpful guide for organizations who are thinking about building – snared a Gold ADDY, the competition's top prize. From among nearly 300 total entries, the Owner's Construction Manual was recognized for creative excellence in the category of four-color brochures. A series of direct mailers promoting the manual received an Honorable Mention in the category of business-to-business marketing campaigns.
